Bus & Train Travel

Free bus passes for eligible seniors and disabled people are available from Surrey County Council (SCC).

SCC offers free bus passes for eligible seniors and disabled people. The pass will allow you to travel for free within Surrey (subject to terms and conditions). If you think you might be eligible for a pass, you can apply at any of 23 participating libraries in Surrey.

Alternatively you can apply online. Please note that the eligibility age is the same as a woman's pensionable age for both men and women.

For more information visit the SCC website, use the SMS text service 07527 182861, call the contact centre on 03456 009 009 or pick up a leaflet at your local library.

Pensioners are able to travel from 9.30am to 11pm on any bus in Surrey for free, while disabled passengers have unlimited travel.

Oyster is a smartcard which can hold pay as you go credit, Travelcard and Bus & Tram Pass season tickets. Use it to travel on bus, Tube, Tram, DLR, London Overground and most National Rail services in London. See Transport for London's website for more information.
