Mole Valley District Council Launches 'Economic Spotlight' for Businesses
Kicking off a series of new Economic Prosperity Strategy (EPS) projects, Mole Valley District Council has launched its inaugural edition of a quarterly economic update to businesses via email and a dedicated page on its website. The Spotlight brings together national and local data aimed at assisting businesses and to support inward investment across the district.Councillor Simon Edge, Executive Member for Economic Development, said: "Since launching our EPS in March this year, work on a number of projects has been progressing - one of which is improving the information available to businesses and support inward investment to Mole Valley. This inaugural edition of Spotlight is now going out to all our business contacts, and we would like it to reach more. It will provide an insight into the current economic climate and publicise the opportunities and initiatives we will be offering to businesses as part of our EPS.
"Other work includes supporting the Community Rail Partnership in helping to fund a feasibility study for a tri-hourly train on the North Downs Line. We are also piloting a Business Reference Group in Leatherhead, and working closely with schools and colleges to help young people with a wider understanding of Mole Valley's economy and the opportunities that it may hold.
"We are keen to build our business database and make contact with as many Mole Valley businesses as possible as we roll out our initiatives so, if you would like to receive the Spotlight, please get in touch with your details by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org."
