Ghouls, ghosts and zombies of all ages emerged to enjoy a host of devilish activities and games for the whole family on the day.
The town centre was filled with enthusiastic visitors donning a diverse range of spooky costumes; each more gruesome and ghoulish than the next.
Visitors, both young and old, delighted in a wide range of activities, including the despicably disgusting side stalls, assortment of gruesome games - including getting hands-on with a real life tarantula - and enchanting magic shows.
The High Street was a hive of activity, with a number of participants in the always-popular Skeleton Scavenge moving from shop to shop, all the while mingling with a pair of ghastly grannies and a trio of highly skilled fire performers who delighted gathered crowds.
Councillor Simon Edge, Cabinet Member for Prosperity, said: "This year's annual Halloween celebrations in the town proved to be a smash-hit. It is always pleasing to see so many people, of a wide range of ages too, enjoying themselves and getting into the spirit of the occasion by dressing in freakish costumes and donning extravagant face paint.
"One of the most popular events in the calendar, the day always draws large crowds, some of whom will be visiting Leatherhead for the first time - taking advantage of our free parking offer from 3pm - experiencing the town's shops, restaurants and cafés."
