Claire House & James House planning application open for comment
As part of Transform Leatherhead an outline planning application has been made for significant redevelopment of the Claire House and James House office blocks in Bridge Street, Leatherhead. Everyone wishing to view and comment on the proposal now can via the Mole Valley District Council Planning portal.
Councillor Simon Edge, Cabinet Member for Prosperity said, "The redevelopment of Claire House and James House is a key project of Transform Leatherhead and this is an important opportunity to have your say on our plans.
"The proposal is to demolish the existing buildings and replace them with 40 flats above community and commercial spaces, on the ground floor, which we anticipate will include a café or restaurant to provide opportunities for a riverside destination. Alongside will be associated public realm improvements, servicing, residential car parking spaces and reconfiguration of the existing public pay and display car park.
"The outline planning application also includes initial concepts and ideas for the creation of a Riverside Park which is proposed to be delivered as a second phase of the Riverside Quarter regeneration, after the Claire House and James House development is completed."
