Economic Prosperity Strategy

Consultation on the Economic Prosperity Strategy for Mole Valley 2018 - 2028.

Prosperity is one of Mole Valley District Council's three corporate priorities. We value our local economy and want to take a pro-business approach.

Whilst we have worked closely with businesses for some time, we recognised the benefits of taking a long term strategic approach and so we began work to produce an Economic Prosperity Strategy. We are currently in the process of finalising this and we are keen to hear your views.

This strategy is the culmination of extensive collaborative work with the business community, Councillors and key stakeholders of all ages. Their input has helped us shape the draft economic vision and strategic priorities.

Please look at the summary document and consider the long-term economic vision, strategic economic priorities and proposed projects. Please respond to the following three questions:

1.    Do you agree with the Long-term Economic Vision?

2.    Do you agree with the six Strategic Priorities?

3.    In the first year, we have selected the projects that we believe will be beneficial in their own right, but importantly also provide a foundation to enable us to successfully deliver subsequent projects. An annual delivery plan confirming the next 12 months actions will be produced at the start of each financial year. We welcome your comments on the selection we have made for the forthcoming year.

In addition, if you have any further comments, please do send them on.

Email your views to by midnight on 6 March 2018.

The final strategy will be considered by the Executive on 27 March 2018.

EPS Consultation Period

The period for the Economic Prosperity Strategy consultation is 18 days: this will ensure that comments can be assessed and, where appropriate, incorporated into the strategy in due time to be considered by the Scrutiny Committee and culminating in the Executive potentially formally adopting it on 27 March 2018.
