Refugee Complimentary Access Scheme

Offers free access to Dorking Sports Centre, Leatherhead Leisure Centre and Dorking Halls for refugee families.

Looked after children and their carers need to apply via leisure.offer@surreycc.gov.uk

Families and individuals can apply for this scheme if they are registered to:

  • Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme
  • Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy or Afghan Locally Employed Relocation Scheme

Facilities used are limited to public sessions and are used for the purpose of the refugee families.

All RCA users must be a resident of Mole Valley.

All RCA users must be refugees registered to the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme or confirmed as an Afghan refugee by the Family Support Team at Reigate & Banstead Borough Council.

The RCA cards are valid for one year. After one year, the RCA application can be renewed subject to eligibility.

All RCA users must show a valid card on every visit to the facility. Failure to do so will mean the full price will have to be paid.

All RCA users can only use facilities during public sessions and cannot book facilities in advance.

Note, Dorking Sports Centre will be issuing membership cards to all users, therefore, after your first visit you will no longer require your RCA card to use the centre.

By applying for a RCA card applicants acknowledge that the information they have been provided will be referred to the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme or the Family Support Team to confirm the applicants are registered refugees.

Cardholders must inform us immediately if there is any change to their name, address or eligibility for the card. If the change in circumstances means the cardholder is no longer eligible then their RCA card becomes invalid and must be returned to the Council offices in Pippbrook, Dorking.

The information provided in the application form will only be used by us and its partnership agencies for the purpose of administering the RCA scheme and it will not be shared with other organisations other than South East Surrey Family Support Team.

The facilities and activities covered by the RCA scheme are subject to availability and may change or be withdrawn without notice at any time.

Applying /renewing a CA card must:

  • complete an application form
  • submit a JPEG of a current small head and shoulders photograph of all card users

Please allow up to 30 days for your card to be processed.

All applicants will be verified before a card is issued.

We reserve the right to terminate membership should any breach of the schemes conditions occur, or should the facility manager give reasonable grounds.
