Equipment can be made available for collection from a designated pick-up point, on an appointment-only basis.
We are keen to encourage residents, community groups and businesses to assist our street cleaning crews to keep our district litter free.
Provision of litter picking equipment
Community litter picking events are a great way to tackle those areas of litter that you and your neighbours wish to bag up and bin. The events are a good show of teamwork, involve a range of age groups and help bring together your community.
Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) can supply each volunteer with a set of equipment including a litter-picking stick, high-visibility vest, rubbish bags and gloves.
Please send us your request at least two weeks before your event. We will then contact you to confirm equipment availability and further details.
As a small token of appreciation, MVDC offer £1 for every bag of litter collected at your event to a maximum of £45. This can be claimed for up to two events per financial year. Organisations that hold several smaller events can claim their reward but to reduce administration we ask that you make one claim for the whole year.

Volunteers are not working for, or on behalf of MVDC and therefore MVDC cannot be held liable for any loss, damage or injury caused as a result of the actions and omissions of volunteers.
