Family Support Team - South East Surrey

The South East Family Support Programme works in partnership with you and your family to help you overcome some of the concerns, difficulties, challenges or obstacles you may be facing.

Our aim is to enable you to feel good about you family and your local community, empower all family members to build new skills and help your family to have the confidence to go forward in life with the support you need.

What we will do

We will allocate you a Family Support Co-ordinator who will listen and hear how you would like things to change from the way they are now. They will help you identify your strengths and help you to think about how you might build on these to make your family stronger and your life better. They will listen to your concerns and worries and help you think about when they started and how they might be overcome in the future. Then, they'll help you, with support from other services, to work towards it.

What we won't do

Tell you what to do. We will work in partnership with you, and won't ever tell you what you must do. We will help you explore things you might not have considered before.

The programme particularly helps families who:

  • have children who have attendance of exclusion issues at school
  • have adults on benefits
  • have issues with Crime or Anti-Social Behaviour

In addition, we have helped lots of families with:

  • housing
  • finances
  • keeping your family safe
  • couple relationships
  • parenting
  • difficult life events
  • moving towards employment
  • creating new opportunities

Mole Valley District Council is leading the Family Support Programme - based in Dorking, Reigate and Oxted - in partnership with Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, Tandridge District Council and Surrey County Council.

If your family is experiencing challenge or difficulty and think that we could be helpful, or if you would like more information, please email or by call 01737 276000.
