There are various methods of getting your payment to MVDC. You can also opt to receive your bills by email if you prefer.
To pay by direct debit, there is a choice of four payment dates: 1, 5, 15 or 25 of each month. All other payment methods are due on first of each month.
If you would like to set up a direct debit, please email in the direct debit instruction at the bottom of the page to email@example.com or telephone 01306 879293 with your council tax reference number, starting in 60, without this we can't set up a new direct debit, and your bank account details (for example, as shown on your cheque book) to hand.
Just follow the step by step instructions to make your payment.
If you are interested in receiving your council tax bills by this method, please email the Council Tax team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please give your name, address, council tax reference number, and preferred email address. A member of the team will then write to confirm the email address to be used for billing purposes.
Telephone Payment Facility
A Telephone Payment (ATP) service is available, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for payment using a Switch (Maestro) or a Visa Delta card.
To use this facility please call 0300 1231064 and have your card details and your council tax reference number available. Calls will be charged at the local rate.
Send your cheque payable to Mole Valley District Council, quoting your reference number and / or your name and address, on the back of the cheque to: Revenues Section, MVDC, Pippbrook, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SJ. (Please do not send cash through the post).
At the council offices, Pippbrook, Dorking where there is a payment kiosk available. Opening hours are: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Alternatively, please visit the HelpShop, Leatherhead Library, The Mansion, Church Street, Leatherhead, where a payment kiosk is also available, Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 4.30pm.
Payment can be made by debit or credit card via a dedicated phone line, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To use this service please ring 0300 1231064, calls will be charged at the local rate. You will need your card details and your council tax account number to make payment by this method.
Half Yearly Payers
If you have elected to pay half yearly by 25 May and 25 October, other than by direct debit. Half yearly payments can be made by direct debit, please contact the Revenues team for details.
You can also make payment using any of the telephone or personal computer banking services offered by banks and building societies. You will need to quote your Council Tax reference number, MVDC's NatWest sort code 573230 and account number 00000000. The council tax reference needed is the first nine digits of the account reference shown on your bill.
Twelve Monthly Instalments
In order to pay your Council Tax in twelve instalments, a request has to be made by 17 March and a payment must be made during April. Applications made after 17 March will be payable in a reduced number of instalments with the final payment in March.
This authority is under a duty to protect the public funds it administers. To this end it may use the information you have provided in order to access this service for the prevention and detection of fraud. It may also share this information with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds for these purposes.
