There are a variety of walking trails around the district for all to enjoy:
- Denbies Vineyard - there is a newly surfaced path which enables a circular route through the vineyard that takes around 40 minutes. Plenty to see with great views over Dorking
- Holmwood Common family activity trail - a 5 - 6.4km surfaced route around the common which is suitable for families. A great opportunity to get close to nature and there is also a pond at Four Wents
- Mole Gap Trail - if you fancy a longer walk, this one could be for you. This 10km Leatherhead to Dorking walk is a nice varied walk with plenty to see and spot. It does involve getting the train unless you want to walk back.
- Bookham Common - an easy 2.5 - 3 miles dog friendly trail suitable for families to explore the woodlands, wetlands and wildlife.
The Deepdene Trail is perfect for a short walk or a grand adventure and is just a 15 minute stroll from Dorking’s town centre and railway stations. It is free to enter and open all year round dawn until dusk.
Leith Hill Greenway
There is a 15km bike route from Denbies Vineyard to Leith Hill named 'The Leith Hill Greenway', which is designed primarily for off-road cycling (a hybrid bike would be fine). Enjoy the great views of Box Hill, Denbies and Leith Hill tower.
